Opps for forgot to check transmission on toad
Well I broke my new toad last week by getting to much of a hurry to get
started. I hooked up the toad and then released the emergency brake
but dum me forgot to check the gear position and two miles latter blow
engine!!!. Owell I ripped out the old engine yesterday and a new one
is comming today and I should have my old Subie up and running by the
weekend. I bought a cratted Japeness engine with 45,000 miles on it
for 400 dollars not bad a complete engine with all the acc. Its has a
guarenttee for one year and so if I try to do the same trick as I did
last week I will be in a good position. (No Way!!) Well I don't feel so
bad as I have talk to quit a few other people and they have heard of
other people doing the same thing. Jon

Yeah, Jon, you gotta check all that stuff...When I had the Jeeps
steering coloum apart, I disabled the Steering wheel lock, so I can't
forget that one.. And don't have to fiddle with the key....
Several years ago, the engine in our old subie went south. In light
of its age and condition, we Donated it and got a tax break..
