Replace dash radio in '93 Wanderlodge? How to? Recommendations?
Howdy, Y'all!!

We want to install a more modern and user friendly radio in the dash of
our 1993 Bird. We want it to be able to play CDs and/or cassette tapes.
Have you done this to your coach? Recommendations or ideas to accomplish
this goal would be greatly appreciated. The present Kenwood radio CD
player doesn't play. It shows an error code that indicates "No CD in
player". Well that is not true. Also the cassette player of the radio
plays the tapes too slowly OR not at all.

Regards,
Jack and Liz in hot, hot Fort Worth!! [X-(] [X-(]

Hi Jack and Liz in FWTX:

Hot Fort Worth. The Stockyards. Cold beverages. Great place. Wish I were
sitting right beside you in the park.
30 minutes ago I posted about my coach sound system. It should be on the Forum
about now. My Kenwood CD player also flipped out giving false readings. It
would spit the disk out and play when it wanted to. The wife bought a cleaning
disk, it had tiny hair type brushes on it. The CD player has worked since. I
haven't see a new cassette combo in awhile.

Howdy, Leroy.
Thanks for the reply.
Yup, it is really nice to be home in Texas even in this heat. We lived
in southeast Florida for 12 years because that is where Jack's job
was. We left Lantana in April as Jack took early retirement. Jack is
pretty firm about never going east of the Mississippi River again.

We really want to get rid of that dash radio. Maybe someone who has
done that project will write to this thread. Hope so.

Thanks again, Leroy.
