Cleaning Undercarriage

Replaced the old, transmission cooler hoses that had developed some weeps and
want to
clean oil film off of engine, retarder, etc. I note from the retarder manual
that use of high
pressure water is OK to clean. Anyone got any idea of an upper limit on
cleaning pressure.
I've got a portable gas powered pressure sprayer but don't want to damage
anything in the
process.

For what it's worth this is what I do. Spray the areas with Simple Green
concentrated spray. Let it work for 15 minutes then run a 2000PSI power washer
at half RPM and wash er down. I then use air to blow off excess water. I
clean up with towels from a Box of Rags(paper) available at most Ace hardware
stores. Use touch up paint as required if you chose.
