Royal Conversion
Ernie:
I have been trying to pin down my conversion to a number on the bus for
some time. I spoke with Bennie today and he will research to see if he
can track my bus back to Royal, if I send him my body number. Based
upon my description he stated "there is a 99% chance that it is a Royal
conversion." He couldn't recall how many Royal converted but said he
would try to find out. BB sent Royal a rolling shell and Royal put in
the interior. In most cases, Royal painted the coach. This per BB.
The only other one I have seen is on Birdconnection, a 1989.
I would like the answer for historical purposes. Thanks,

Royal Conversion
Ernie:

For your info:
You have asked prior how many Royale Conversions were constructed. I
am not sure anyone knows. However, during a recent conversation with
Mr. Glenn Rodgers, a former 25 year employee of BB Mr. Rodgers stated
that BB sent the bus shell and the wiring blueprints to Royale who used
them as a guide. Royale had free reign to do what ever was needed to
install the option upgrades offered at that time and there was not any
guarantee that the final wiring would match the blueprint. I can
attest to that fact. If a buyer wanted an upgrade it was done.

Mr. Rodgers is now at Coachcraft by McDonald in Columbus,GA. I have had
work performed there and they are very nice folks. They are also a BB
warranty outlet. (as usual, no financial interest in CC by Mc)
