Cell Phone Antenna, Amplifier

Cell Phone Antenna, Amplifier
A lot of the camping we do is in areas where the cell phone signal is
minimal, usually one and sometimes two bars. I'm thinking about adding
an antenna to improve the signal. At the present time I'm thinking about
using the Wilson RV/Trucker no ground plane #301119 antenna. Anyone have
experience with this antenna? Or other cell antennas?

Also, looking at the wired and wireless amplifiers. Anyone have
experience with cellular amplifiers?

Curt, I have a wilson antenna on my toad and an amplifier in the WL which
provides total of 6 watts power. It is dc plug in and can be used in toad if
needed. I have been able to get cingular service everywhere, almost without
exception. They are worth the money.

Thanks Wallace,

Need clarification.

Do you have a cell antenna on the WL, that works with the amplifier?
What model number cell antenna on the WL, and the toad? What model
number is the amplifier? If it's a wireless amplifier, what inside
antenna are you using?

Thanks,

Curt, there is a factory installed antenna with a plug- in behind the driver on
the wall. and the amplifier is connected to that outside antenna. I have no
idea of the coach antenna number and doubt that it is available, even if I
climbed on the roof.(not) When the sun comes out in the morning , I will get you
the name and number of the amplifier and write. It is several years old, but
still works well on the one phone we have that has a compatable plug. Merry
Christmas
