Where is the best place to buy fuel and oil filters for birds?

Napa Auto Parts carries most BB filters. The Racor filters are a bit
more difficult to find ... but an Internet search will find a number
of vendors. EBay has vendor who will sell a case (12) of Racor filter
elements for about $100 more or less (depending on Racor model).

Many of the filters are made by Wix and have equivalents with other
brands.

Although I was like most owners using Cat filters I have since
changed. The Cat filters for our 3208 300 HP (1R0714) were a really
well bult piece. No other filter I have seen was made that well. But
Cat no longer makes the filters for the legacy engines. The last one I
bought looked like Wix or Baldwin painted yellow. Of course the Cat
price was still "high end". I bought a bunch of filters from :

Good prices and great service. They sell Wix and the Racor filter is in
a Wix box but is genuine Racor. NAPA filters are just Wix in a Napa box.

A few months ago some one told me about http://www.filterbarn.com I have
not yet ordered from them but the prices are almost too low to believe.
They carry a variety of brands. Check it out.

I just checked out the locations you mentioned, they have good prices... But you
have to buy them by the case... The case price comes out to $7.91 ea. plus
shipping
I found this place on the web and they are cheaper (less expensive) than they
are... I paid $6.78 ea plus shipping and you do not have to order a case...
As I had a filter clog up on my way home from FL this week, had every filter on
board except a racor... Got them now...

Hi Rob,
I had put in a biocide with the first fuel fill up... Did not see any changes,
added another batch on the next fuel up, so I guess it loosened up some microbes
and clogged the racor... Scott had recommended I put in the biocide, because it
was sitting for a while before I purchased it... The previous owner passed away
and the wife had been trying to sell it since 06/05... Hopefully I will not have
anymore clogs, as I just ordered 4 more filters in case...

I was already rudely corrected that there are cheaper places on the
net to buy filters
I bought mine by the case simple reasons you always need another one
and if you clog one there is usally more clog to follow
