Air intake mod on '84 FC
Hello everyone:

Had the swing radiator open today to replace a frozen bearing on the A/C
idler pulley. While I was there, I did a mod, opening up the in place air
intake for the 3208.

In the photos you will see a few before and after the mod. I cut a slim
strip down the left side (curb side) of the opening beside the riv nuts.
This allows a less obstructed path for air. Then I used a stiff piece of
rubber about 4 inches wide and cut to length and screwed it to the flange
to the right of the original intake pathway. The rubber bends back out of
the way to swing the radiator in, then closes the gap between the radiator
and the intake opening. It forms a scoop to bring more air into the intake.

It is not as fancy as some of the mods done, but is a quick and easy one
that uses what is original from the factory.
