More fridge questions...
Given a choice between the Norcold #841 and the Dometic #2820. The
Norcold is less $$. Any input on these two models or the manufacturers?

This may be old news but, FYI, Dometic is having a major recall on
their fridges....

Norcold allows you to set the temperature. Dometic sets the
temperature for you and you can't adjust it.(that's how it reads to me)

Norcold is VERY efficient. I shut mine off in November and it's still
cold inside!

Not sure what Dometic Fridge David is talking about, but the RM 2820
temperature is adjustable and it is not affected by the recall.

Dave,

The former owner of my bus, the late Sid Clark installed a Dometic
in '03. While it doesn't have the ability to set the fridge to a
specfic temperature setting, it does have five different settings (I
think) to make it colder (or warmer I suppose).

More fridge questions...
Thanks to everyone for entertaining my endless questions about
refrigerator replacement. I believe I have all the information I
need to move forward. I have found that people have used the Norcold
641 and 841, the Dometic 2820 and 2852 in their FC's. Now I just
need to pick one and get busy!

Thanks again.....

That's according to Dometic's online manual for the 2820. Says that
when in "Auto" or "Gas" modes, the temperature is preset to a
factory setting. I couldn't see any mention of any adjustments.
Label on the front panel shows "Automatic Refrigerator Temperature
Control"(or something like that). Maybe I missed something, but
that's what made me buy a Norcold when I bought.
