Need help selling a friends SOB (Vouge V)
Howdy gang,
I'm trying to help a local customer sell her 1996 Vouge V. She was recently widowed by a freak accident and has this bus left in her lap to sell. She let it freeze up and the water heater is ruptured (at least, who knows what else). It's a beautiful late model rig that she feels she needs $97K out of. I have contacted a couple Vouge V owners and they think that she is pretty darn optimistic even without the water system issue. I feel like I've become fairly familiar with vintage Birds, but this Vouge V is a whole new deal. Any suggestions on where to try to sell it or what a realistic value on the rig is? The book comes in a little over 100K, but I've never had that know it all book buy anything. Thanks as always. "Pokey" is still in the shed, waiting for warmer weather. Spring comes pretty late here in Gunnison. Doug Engel, Gunnison, Co, 1981 FC35SB "Pokey" |

Doug,
She could always try calling Harvey Mitchell at Parliament. Since he built the Vogues, and resells them, he could give her an idea of what it's really worth on the market. Mike,
Thanks for the lead. I called and Harvey had already left for the day, but I spoke to his son, Stephen. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. He confirmed what I had been afraid of. Given the freeze-up issue, he priced the coach around 60K, 75ish if it had no problems (with the understanding that they always have a couple issues, but you know what I'm talking about). As much as I'd like to help her out, I think she needs to look at it realistically before I get too involved. Thanks again, Doug n' Pokey mbulriss <mbulriss@...> wrote: Doug, She could always try calling Harvey Mitchell at Parliament.
