SOUTHWEST BLUEBIRDS and friends: Annual Quartzsite Rally-2008 dates
SOUTHWEST BLUEBIRDS and friends ANNUAL QUARTZSITE RALLY-2008

PRELIMINARY PLANS ANNOUNCEMENT

Quartzsite's 2008 "Main Event" is scheduled for the week of January
19-27, 2008.

Based on our experience from the 2007 rally, we are planning to do our
2008 rally a little differently.

Several attendees arrive in Quartzsite several days or weeks in
advance of the 'Main Event'. Others start arriving during the week of
the `Main Event'. And, my wife has informed me that WE are going to
spend at least a week there so she has time to make the rounds at the
vendor areas :-D .

So, with orders in hand :-) , preliminary plans are as follows:

INCLUSIVE DATES OF RALLY: Saturday, January 19 thru Sunday, January
27, 2008. Establishing a rally nesting area on, or before, the
weekend of January 19 will allow early arrivals to gather, if they
wish, with other Rally attendees, and allow those who arrive during
the week to have a definite nesting area to head for instead of making
do until everyone else starts arriving.

We already have strong interest in the rally, and we believe
establishing a nesting area early will give all attendees more
flexibility in making their trip plans.

MAIN DATES OF RALLY: January 25-27, 2008, the second weekend of the
`Main Event'. These are the dates we expect everyone who attends
will be gathered in full force. We'll be planning aerial photos
again, and this will be the weekend it will be done.

LOCATION OF RALLY: Circling of the units worked very well this year,
especially for the aerial photos, and we'll do it again at the 2008
rally. That means we'll be looking for an area large enough to allow
building an inner circle of coaches and whatever number of successive
outer circles necessary to accommodate the number of rally attendees.

At this time, our first choice for a nesting area is LaPosa South.
Our secondary choice is one of the free areas (Roadrunner or Scaddan
Wash). There are pros and cons about both which I'll advise you about
later. Rice Ranch will be researched, also.

I'll be sending updates as our plans progress for the Annual
Quartzsite Rally-2008 to those listed on our Annual Quartzsite Rally
database. If you are not signed up and listed on our dedicated
Quartzsite Rally database, please send me a message: pncorpus (at)
west (dot) net, requesting sign up information. This will assure you
receive up to date information.

Mark your calendars and make your plans.

Thanks,

Phil Corpus
