Since the interior of models varies greatly, the location would also have to
vary. In mine, with an L-Shaped dinette, it is under the seat cushion nearest
the refrigerator.

Same place in the '92 with L-Shaped dinette. Just lift up the cushion
and remove the small filler panel.

Thank you. Mine must have been removed, however, there is no sign
of any bolts or other tie down. Is your safe just fee-standing?

I believe that the safes have always been an option (although most BB's have
them). There is a chance that you don't even have one, but it's always fun
to explore. Typically, like most have posted, the safe is located underneath
a dinette cushion, underneath a removable wooden panel with a finger hole in
it. I have a safe, it's neat to show to people, but I've never been able to
get it open in the 6yrs I've owned it (and I have tried the usual "factory
set combo's" to no avail). Could have some big bucks in it, or that elusive
Hope Diamond in it...maybe I'll raise the price when I sell, just in case!!

Have fun hunting....

Note that not all BBs have a safe (mine doesn't).

If the safe is "freestanding" then is was probably removed....

Is the hatch and hole for the safe there? Mine is bolted down using bolts that
need to have the safe open to easily remove.

If the hatch and hole are there, but no sign that bolts went into the floor I
would guess that there never was one.
