I have the manuals from my blue box for a 91 wide body PT40- It states that
the PTS/MH15 engine number is a V1902BG volts 120/240 Hz 60 Kw 15
Phase 1. Call me at 704-5281893 for any more information I can glean from the
book.

My 15KW Powertech is powered by Kabota. I'm surprised Powertech did not
have the info for you.

Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Valve cover gasket for Generator - 91WL

I need to identify the part number and source for the valve cover
gasket on my generator engine.

The generator is a 15Kw Power Tec, however, neither Power Tec, nor
Bluebird can tell me what brand of engine it is, nor have I found a tag
on the engine for identificaton.

Does anyone have this info, or do I need to custom make one?

Roger

As I recall the information with my 91, it's a Kubota engine. I can
check model number this weekend if you need it.

The info above provided by John Redden is what I needed. PowerTech
confirmed the Kubota engine (V1902BG) and Kubota also confirmed the
engine was used with PowerTech generators in the Wanderlodges.

The gasket is available from a Kubota distributor here in Minneapolis
(where I happen to be today) and I will pick it up this afternoon.

Thanks for your help.

Kubota makes engines for many applications. you need the complete
engine number for many things that vary on a particular engine model.
It helps to clean out the screw socket and clean the v cover screws
prior to torquing the new gasket. a dirt filled socket will bottom out
the screw prior to compressing the gasket. If you use brake cleaner to
blast out the socket, oil the solvent out so it wont dry out the gasket
in that spot.

The V1902 engine is a 4cyl 1.9 liter Kubota that is also used in Skid
Steers and tractors. Specifically it is used in the L3450 Kubota
tractor. Just go down to your local Kubota dealer and tell them you
want a valve cover gasket for an L3450. Take your valve cover with
you to verify fitment. This is good because there prices are
usually less and they typically will have items like that in stock.

Good Luck!

PS. Kubota diesel engines are some of the finest diesels available.
Parts and engine replacements are readily available and they are very
durable. I have owned multiple kubota engines with more than
10,000 hrs including one that was at 12,500 hrs and still going strong.
