Is there any truth to a rumor that the new owners
of Bluebird will be discontinuing the Wanderlodge line and building
only school and transit buses?
The obvious issue here will be the availability of parts and service
not to mention resale value. I would think it's too strong a brand
name to be discarding.

I would say at a corporate level is it profitable to maintain the
Wanderlodge line ? I would say in my position that at close to 1/2
million dollars a peice one might think that one hell of allot of
cash for a vehicle that uses expensive fuel and has lots of
restriction on where one might park there rigs.

I don't know about you but I think there would be more of a market
for a smaller coach with less glider inside. Do you really need
lights all over the coach that looks like a Christmas tree lot or so
mirrors that show ever oversize curve you may have? Nope I really
believe that they could really do a design change with less junk but
keep the quality.

But there will always be people with more money than they know what
to do with and maybe these top end coaches will have a market?

I myself find it a little bit over the top to spend such a vast
amount and only use it for short durations. But who am I but a
retired old marine machinist living on a budget. Jon

Glad to know that there are other "Birds" in the area. I live in
Deerfield Beach. Have a 93 PT40. We should talk about local services
available to Wanderlodge owners. Have not spied your coach around
town. Do you keep it here or other parts of the state??
