Maybe, but have not gotten that far yet. I want to do a couple of designs, original as possible an a more modern face also. I am trying to find dial parts that will fit. I will provide photos when I get them together and go from there. Never know, the whole thing might flop. lol I have never fabricated a clock. If you would give me a measurement from the nose of the bird to the end of the lower tail it would be appreciated. Also, does the movement protrude out the back of the wood? If so how far? I cut a prototype today out of 3/4" thick wood and it is 19" long by 6" high. It will accept a 2 3/4" to 3" quality quartz movement in the wing. My prototype is made from white pine and the original will be blonde. I plan to make 7 prototypes to see what I can do with them. I will use red oak on others and I plan to prime, base coat and clear coat some of the pine to see what happens. I don't have anything else to do. Colors I am considering are rose,lagoon, black, red and blue. I may air brush one in a bluebird style and see how that goes. I would clear coat that one. I would like to put a chime movement in one of them but it may need to be larger because of constraints in the size if available dials. All are being hand made. Thanks for any info.
