Aux Batt solenoid on PT
In my opinion you are making the issue of whether the generator
battery is being charged or not, overly complicated. If you check
the generator battery terminal with a voltmeter while the engine is
turned off and the charger is turned off and note the voltage and
then turn the charger on and you see a voltage increase at the
generator battery terminals then the generator charging circuit is
working. All charging sources are tied together at the positive
battery stud , in back of the battery box on the FC models and above
the engine on the PTs. If you want to discuss if the generator
battery is being fully charged then that is a different issue
entirely and more complicated. Therefore I believe Mr Forman is
correct there is only one circuit when it comes to charging the
generator battery. If you want to talk about what level the generator
battery is being charged to that is a different issue.
