Thermoelectric Solenoid Valve - Dometic Frig. #RM3801
I'm back to working on the refrigerator, Dometic RM3801. The problem is some
times the Thermoelectric Solenoid Vave fails to shut off the gas. I removed
the valve, took it apart, cleaned it, etc. and it continues to intermitently
shut off the gas. The part number is 200 77 19-01/2. It''s comprised of two
parts, the solenoid & the gas valve. Anyone know where to shop for a
replacement Thermoelectric Solenoid Valve?

When it fails to shut off the gas, I can tap on the unit, it clicks, moving
the plunger and shuts off the gas.

Curt, Don't know if this has anything to do with your problem, but you can
go to dometic.com and check to see if your unit has been recalled. I just
found out this past week that my RM3663 has a repair order out for it, due
to a possible gas/fire problem. It is a kit that they install at no charge.
I go for that, (FREE), as the fridge was bot by the previous owner. Those
members that may have forgotten about the recall issued this spring should
check online to see if their unit is affected. I found a local RV repair
shop that stocked the kits, making it fairly easy to get rid of this
monkey. I have plenty of others to deal with. Good Luck, George Burke 1977
