Brad,

I had to replace my 12V air pump too - had an air
leak which caused it to run continuously and the
thermal protection melted down. I probably could
have opened it to fix it but being on the road,
it was faster to put in a new one. The air toilet has
a rather low quality Clippard air regulator which gives
me grief from time to time (defective o-ring which requires
a drop of air tool oil from time to time). This causes the
air pump to cycle too often. My short term fix is to
screw down the air stop valve thumbwheel when I'm
away from the coach for any period of time, the real
fix is to scrap the Clippard and put in a real regulator).

I have a dometic refrigerator (so far it's escaped the
recalls). I haven't tried running on propane so can't
comment on it's performance - on electricity, the thing
is phenomenal.

Regarding the Wanderlodge product line - let's hope
CCW does it better. If it were my company, I'd concentrate
on the high-end model and I'd discontinue everything
else (Newell style). Problem is, buying used doesn't give
me a lot of clout over new designs.

Brad,

Nothing superior about it, just made for a different type of
installation where the black tank is not located under the toilet.
Microphor makes both the electric and air flush because of different
applications. The electric requires a straight dump into the black
tank. The air operates differently and can be mounted away from
directly over the black tank allowing more freedom of design. With
the air model, the contents of the bowl are first dumped into a
hopper below the bowl. After the flapper closes the hopper is
preasurized and the waste is pushed out of the hopper through a
smaller diameter pipe to the black tank. Properly adjusted they both
work very well and are trouble free. I have never had a problem with
either model and that includes about 7 years use on each. With the
air model you need to maintain pressure to keep water in the bowl
but even if you don't, the water drains into the hopper which acts as
a trap and seals the toilet from the tank.
Both air and electric models are an excellent product that, if
maintained will last for many years.

The air model is more complex and does have more parts that could
fail.

Rich, Thanks for the info. I have a closed powder room with toilet and
lavatory. The flush handle is on the cabinet next to the TP roll. The toilet
is one piece with no removable tank top like the microphor toto on my old
Newell. Once I got that one fixed properly..no leaks, actuator lever replaced,
etc., it did work flawlessly. I hope this one will work as well when it's

Barbara and I are just beginning to search for a two slide LXI. I check all of
the for sale sites daily but if any of you know of one for sale that may not be
listed on any of the normal websites we would appreciate hearing about it. When
we find one our 96 Wanderlodge will be for sale. Since I know I am going to
take a beating on the 96 i am looking for a realisticly priced coach. If you
know of anyone looking for a very nice series 60 coach send them my way. I
could sell it before I find another one. Would be first time in 12 years I was
birdless. Don"t know how that would feel. Any help that any of you can provide
