Water Tank Fill Leak

I am looking at buying my first Bird, it is a 83 FC35 with twin beds.
I have been told by the current owner that it appears to have a leak
between the fresh water tank and the fill port. Does anyone have any
info or advise for this problem. I have not yet been able to view the
coach but will be in about a week.

It can be accessed from under the street side bed & it is probably a hose
leak or easy to see by lifting up the mattress & plywood. If that is the only
thing that is wrong sounds like it is in good shape.
