FYI...
Nancy Brookshire from the bluebirdladies site sent this an hour ago....

Elin Jensen called us this morning from somewhere near

Manchester, Tennessee. They were traveling in their
Bird on the way
to the RIV and the right front tire blew out. It
caused Les to lose
control and veer off the highway, down an embankment,
through the
brush and hit a tree. Les was pinned behind the wheel
and had to be
extricated and airlifted to the nearest hospital. He
died there last
night. Elin was in the bathroom and was not hurt. If
she'd been in
the passenger's seat she would probably have been
badly injured or
killed also. He was going around 70 mph and just lost
control.
Everyone here at the Bird's Nest is in shock. We are
heart-broken!
Elin may come to RIV for a day. I told her that she
has a large
family of friends who would like to see her. Les is
being cremated
so they will do a Memorial Service later.

Scott,

They were in a 2006 45 footer.

Many, 35 units, met Les and Elin at our SWBB Buellton rally two weeks ago.
What wonderful people to say the least. All of us, our thoughts and prayers,
are with the Jensen family.

I know this is a terrible time for Elin and the family our hearts go out to
them.
Since Les was in a 2006 it should not be caused by old tires. We should make an
effort to find out the cause and report it to the group. Do we have someone in
the area of the accident that could help with this.
