BIRDS NEST
I am not an insurance person, but I do buy campground operations liability insurance for my campground.  The premium is revenue based.  We are small and don't have a lot of revenue and our premium is around $1200 a year or so for liability.  We do not have a pool or lake and that helps keep it down.  I can provide contact info for our agent if anyone wants it.

As an aside, the first ten birds to show up here at my campground in 2010 can have one free night each Smile
(but please not all at once, we only have 6 open sites right now Smile )

Just out of curiosity, why do you exclude one particular Wanderlodge owners forum from your list of "one person from each group"? It seems to me that if you really wanted to work on a project for all Wanderlodge owners, you should include all. I would think that, with the demise of the factory, every effort should be made to keep all Wanderlodge owners together, not exclude some and "invite" others.

That being said, I personally have to ask myself; "who would want to go anywhere near Fort Valley, GA without the Wanderlodge factory being there?" This area is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Don't take this wrong as I have used the Birds Nest on several occasions over 20 years of Wanderlodge ownership. It is a nice place to overnight and visit with other Bird owners. However, every time it was for a day or so to have work done at the factory. There is, IMO, no other reason to go there. As far as meeting up with other Wanderlodge owners,
that is what rallies are for. These events range from simple gatherings of a few owners to large events such as just held in Tennessee. Great fun and they can be held anywhere and don't need the defunct Birds Nest. Just my opinion, I'm sure others will vary.

It is a nice place to overnight and visit with other Bird owners. However, every
time it was for a day or so to have work done at the factory. There is, IMO, no
other reason to go there. As far as meeting up with other Wanderlodge owners,

BIRDS NEST
Rich - apparently the new owner is planning on servicing coaches. So there might be one reason to go to "the nest"!

Thanks, Ernie, for the heads up. I see that I was replying to a copy of a post made elsewhere.

It seems to me that if you really wanted to work on a project for all Wanderlodge owners, you should include all. I would think that, with the demise of the factory, every effort should be made to keep all Wanderlodge owners together, not exclude some and "invite" others.

This area is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Don't take this wrong as I have used the Birds Nest on several occasions over 20 years of Wanderlodge ownership. It is a nice place to overnight and visit with other Bird owners. However, every time it was for a day or so to have work done at the factory. There is, IMO, no other reason to go there. As far as meeting up with other Wanderlodge owners, that is what rallies are for. These events range from simple gatherings of a few owners to large events such as just held in Tennessee. Great fun and they can be held anywhere and don't need the defunct Birds Nest. Just my opinion, I'm sure others will vary.
