This is probably a dumb question....
VIP is a great company to deal with. I love the wheel and it was a
big improvement in the appearance of the interior of my coach. As to
the difference in steering if a guy would loose his power steering I
agree an smaller wheel would have a disadvantage with respect to
leverage but the big ole wheel pinned me back in the seat and I am
not so certain that I couldn't apply more force to the new wheel
which allows me to sit in a more natural position. Hope I never have
to experience a failure to find out.

If you cant piggyback a gauge and hang a new one someplace more
visible,, It may be a good thing to let it alone and just install a
sender and new gauge package. I wouldnt mind having a confirming
backup set on those two variables. The analog temp gauges offer
poor variable values. It would be cool to find a sender and digital
gauge to give exact temp. and leave the BB analog for looks. Leroy
of NiceVille is up on that stuff

John on the FC powersteering problems there are many threads. It
seems as the first sign of a problem is hot powersteering oil. I
think it gets hot first because the alignment or caster is off then
the hot oil contribute to the demise of the pump and hoses. PS pump
oil temp would be a good value to check with a raytech gun and keep
a record. Wit a recorn of normal temp so you can recognize a
problem before it leaves you stranded.

I read digital better than I do analog, and a whole lot better than a temp gauge
that only has 160/190/220 in the operational range!

Those of us with VMSpc (unfortunately only available for DDEC II and later) can
see the digital values.

Just an FYI. My power steering failure was the pulley. The hub
disintegrated leaving the three spokes spinning around the pump
shaft. I had to replace the pump due to the damage to the shaft.

I had taken temperature measurments a few weeks earlier during a
long trip and they were not excessive.
