Safe in 85 pt40
The very green 85pt.40.6V92 in Pa is to be delivered soon but the
dealer is having problems opening the safe for the new owner. Does
anyone have experience with opening the safe? I will forward it on.

Gregory,
When he starts to open the safe if it says turn right or left to 37 don't assume you need to make a complete turn and then to 37. Go to 37 the first time even if you are on 27 when you start. Then reverse the turn to the next number. Once you havedialedall the numbers turn the dial in theopposite direction to unlockthe locking pins.
One thing to remember the previous owner may have changed the combination. If possible check with previous owner.
If you would like I would be happy to walkthe new ownerthru it. Hopefully it is full of diamonds.
I would not want the dealer opening it.

Thanks Howard , I will forward your info to Jeff at the dealership
in Pa. Gardner noticed it was open so the only jewel the new owner
is getting is the bus.

I bought a property to rent out in December and found a safe hidden.
The seller was the children of the couple that passed away. I moved
the safe to the rear porch and intended to take it to a locksmith.
Thankfuly it was stolen from the porch, don't know if I would have
passed the test???

I'am happy to hear i am not the only one that has the cold safe problem. I guess BB's are not intendedto be in cold weather.

Here's how mine works in my 84FC. Turn left and stop at the 4th time
you come to the 1st number. Turn right and stop the 3rd time at the
2nd number. Turn left and stop at the 2nd time you get to the 3rd
number. Turn right and it should stop at the 4th number. It won't
open when it is cold without pointing a hair dryer at the dial for a
few minutes..
