I don't have a clue Bob. I actually think the thread has relevance because it is about ownership.
I do know this. There are no fundamental reasons why a Prevost of the same vintage should be valued at 30 percent more than a BB other than marketing and perceived value. During my discussion with the owner of the Las Vegas Bird he made a statement that is very relevant. He sells Fender and other guitars. Fender guitars are famous because of their use by rock and roll stars in the early years. His statement. "Fender guitars made in Korea are perceived to be the best because of fabulous marketing. There are far better technical instruments."
BB has not excelled in marketing over the years. Hopefully, that will change.
One other reason not to shoot yourself in the foot. When a catastrophic event occurs what is to keep an insurance adjuster from fishing a public site for perceived value?? Who better to establish value than an owner??
That is my presented case in a
nutshell. Something to think about. I am done and off the box.

I think every Bluebird owner should continue to talk the value of their quality Bluebird into the ground until they try to sell it. You will have established the value for the buyer. At that time, don't bother with records, upgrades, history or anything else because they aren't important and represent zero value. Just hand the buyer your money.
That is like purchasing stock in Big Joe's Burgers then telling all you friends the burgers taste like #$%$.
I also find it interesting that money spent jetting around kicking tires is never taken
into the spending equation. The price of the bus. ???? I'm dense, I don't get it. Is it a deal or not??
I wouldn't tear up the coach in Las Vegas until you evaluate it in person. The guy may be nuts enough to have kept it in pristine shape. Based on what I have read on blog's that may be the case. It may be a jewel and it may not. I'm fix'n to talk to him for a friend. I will let you know what he says.

I think that is one of the nicer looking coaches I've seen
advertized. I keep talking myself out of up grading because I really
don't need more then what I have. I didn't "study" his write up and
apparently there are errors but he does have a very impressive
advertizement there. The fellows who have birds listed on the bill
board should check that one out. Pictures, pictures, pictures. I
used to do some buying and selling on eBay and its no wonder that
some of the BB's have not sold after being listed for over a year.
Absolutely no effort placing in the adds. Doesn't it make sense if
you are selling an item worth upwards of 100K to invest a little
money in a professional looking add? Read some of the ones on the
Bill Board. No pictures in some. Very poor ones in others. Some don't
even tell you were the coach is located. As to discussing the
actually selling price etc, I can see both sides of that. Look, it's
a benefit to both seller and buyer to have some idea of what is in
fact reality. I do not agree that its just year and model which
determines the price. Of course those are likely the most significant
but I for one would consider condition almost as important, maybe
more important. Nothing beats talking to the owner either. Most of us
guys 50 or older have been around the horn a time or two and I am
reasonable confident in my ability to "spot" a bad one. Not to say I
haven't been taken a time or two or that it couldn't happen again. If
I was serious I'd be lookin' hard at that one as well. I think this
type of discussion is very helpful and especially to those who are
looking to buy or to those of us who have stuff "follow us home". My
wife has learned that there is no "just going to look at it" with
me. It's good that one is out of just lookin range.

I am just beginning to understand that many want CCW to be sucessful
because they think it will add resale value???? Here all this time I
thought it was brand loyalty and brand pride.

I think Don's information is helpful to those looking to get into a
BB Bus and only harmful to those looking to overvalue a flip.

My neighbor Mike sold his home and walked over our house to
introduce me to the new owner Fred . We talked for a while then
Mike asked me to help He and his wife pack and move away.
I asked, "Why should I help you move?"
He replied, "because we are neighbors."
I responded, "Good point", then turned my attention to Fred and
asked " if you need help unpacking, call"

I would suggest that anyone interested in a coach walk or run a way
from this one. You cannot believe anything that is on that web site.
Why not ask him where the $140,000 has been spent. All new Propane
system has now become new lines?? I am a businessman and when I smell
something fishy I walk away. To top all of this his attitude is
horrible. As for "talking up" value: Dos this mean when we have
problems we should not post it in a publc forum in case an insurance
adjuster is lurking?? Tell it like it is. A real buyer will see the
value without any attached bs.

Don,

He says he put $140K into it. Where? Probably in the safe since I
don't see it elsewhere. Well, it might be the house cost next to
where he parks. Someone should tell him to retrieve his cash before

Others may feel this is a ncie coach and that could be true. But when
Isee one blatent lie (The $14k updates) that tells me to look
elsewhere. His rant on BB v Prevost does nothing to help with the
sale. A little more "meat" and less BS in the ad might result in a
quick sale. Methinks he doth protest too much !
