Vintage Birds is a good example of sellers who are lost in some time warp. Many
of the
prices are just so far from reality that it is a joke. I notice some that have
been for sale for
well over a year. A BB is not an investment. At least not a $ investemnt. It may
be an
investment in: joy, fun, learning, frustration and ultimately enjoyment and
satisfaction.
There ere plenty of Birds that are not on vintage Birds with the same high
expectations.
They are not selling. But I bet if the prices dropped these babies would indeed
sell. If I were
selling my Bird I would try and price it to sell. That would probably mean I
would take a big
loss. But what other choice is there? You either want to sell or decide to keep
it. Advertising
at a high price simply scares a way potential buyers. BB's are not OJ futures
that may recover
their value. It will only get worse.
