Spring Trip Update
Hi All
Left Show Low and drove to Canyon de Chelly was directed to a free
campground below the visitor center.Found it to be great , stayed 4
day's, no internet connection with a verizon card cell phone ok. We
hiked down to the canyon at White House Ruins .Great stop and did I
mention free.Today drove 200 Mi to Moab UT. Staying at the Portal RV
campground first fee campground in a week.

Mario,

On the Moab side of the Colorado River, I think it is 128 or 28.

Lots of BLM Camping choices for several miles along the river.
Just minutes from Portal.

Dry camping , but the RV parks only charge about $5.00 for a dump and
water, there is also a business in Moab where dump station and water
is available.

Mario,
Hwy 191 north of Vernal, Ut. is very crooked and steep, 25mph turns.
The road is good just steep and winding.
Farther north 191 has several steep grades 7-8% before you get to
Green River Wy.
North of Rock Springs, Wy. the road is out of the Unita Mountians and
easier to navigate.

This is a beautiful drive!
