Lone Star Birds Rally in Boerne
The Lone Star Birds Rally in Boerne, Texas attracted 20 Birds. We had
several first-timers in attendance: Liz & Jack Pearce, George & Betsy
Bush, and Paul & Jo Carver. The true test is always if first-timers
ever choose to come back!

We had a great time as usual. Thanks to Eric & Mary Ann Johnson for
hosting the event. People started coming in on Wednesday and the last
will depart this coming Tuesday or Wednesday.

Ironically, this rally was overlapping with the Family of Friends
Rally a mere 30 minutes away in Kerrville, but there no interaction
among the groups. Hope they had as much fun as we did!

We had great weather. We were very lucky in that all the bad storms
seemed to split in two and went around us on both sides! Could it
have been the noise vortex from the clubhouse? The women got some
shopping in. The guys tended to putter on repair projects and
chatting. When we were not eating that is. The LSB rallies are not
low calorie affairs!

Next scheduled LSB Rally is early June in *Oklahoma*. Watch for
details and get your shots and green cards!

Lone Star Birds Rally in Boerne
We just returned from our first Lone Star Birds Rally and wanted to
let everyone know what a wonderful time we had. We arrived at the
Rally as apprehensive outsiders and left there feeling like one of
the family. We truly had a great time and met some of the most
friendly, congenial, and outgoing people. So, if your are traveling
and have the opportunity to attend a Lone Star Birds Rally, do so.
You will enjoy the same camaraderie that we did.

And, Mike, yes we will most certainly attend again.

Jack and I had a very good "first time" at the LSB rally in Boerne, TX. Good food and good company!! Put the i-ball on people that we had "talked" to via computer, caught up with friends we hadn't seen for a while and made new friends, too. A big THANK YOU to Eric and Mary Ann Johnson, rally hosts.

Regards,
Jack and Liz Pearce
