RATS 2008 in Georgia

So the RIV is going to be in Missouri and RATS will be in Georgia? Kind of a big division in the groups. IMHO

I believe either rally will be a success. I suspect that the RIV might attract some folks who could not make it to Georgia.

Although, the RATS rally is in the distant future, we just want to
update you on the meal planning status.

Hollie Sorge and I will be planning this year's meal schedules.
Barbara's arrangement last year's went so well, that we plan to
basically follow it. (Don't fix what's not broken).

We will prepare a schedule for Thursday to Sunday at a later date.
All events will be held at the Twin Oaks club house. For the
potluck, please be prepared to bring 1 meat dish, 1 vegetable, 1salad
and 1 desert. Each dish should feed 4. One night you will bring
your meat and veg. The other potluck day your salad and desert.
After we arrive, we will have a sign up sheet for everyone to pick
their choices.

This year the Twin Oaks Campground has offered to cook Turkey and Ham
for Saturday night. And also I saw on the forum, that Steven
Brittles of Dupree products, had offered to do a meal for us. Our
jobs have just become a lot easier.

Any suggestions are welcome and you can reach me at 603-835-7923 or
llynie2000@... As we get closer to the date there will be more
updates.

All the best, save travels

Yep. A result of the RIV folks waiting to the (relatively) last minute to change
plans. The RATS folks aren't so insensitive to those making plans long-range,
and are sticking with their plans for this year. It has been said that it might
change in the future.

I'm with the people who think it is a good idea to move RIV around. I think the
joy coming from some of those glad to see it further west blinds them to the
issue of poor planning for this year, including small park size.

Am I bitter about it? Yes, a bit, but I intend to enjoy RATS!

Because of these changes Rats, is not overbooked, This is good news
for some , bad news for those that did not register early, Although
there are several overflow campgrounds with 10 miles.
Rats is also co-ordinated with the Maxton rally, And those headed
South for the Winter.
Crossing the US is getting expensive, twice is over the edge for most.
This is a very good and a positive learning experience, All BB
Rallies are booked, this is a good thing.
More choices and more changes for next year.
