Generator Fan Relay
I have a 12.5 Kohler Gen with the perkins, I replaced the electric
cooling fan on the radiator, the fan does not come on at all when the
temp rises and the overheating protection trips the reset button on the
control box. Can anyone tell me where the thermostat relay is for this
motor?
Thanks

The Kohler 12.5 doesn't (originally) have a thermoswitch for the
cooling fan, it operates directly from the 220v output of the
generator. As soon as genset puts out 220v the fan should be running.

My 12.5 has a Kysor thermoswitch in the neck set at 195. The switch is
normally closed so when the temp rises it opens, relay transfers and the
fan starts.
