Hi Mario,

We'll be taking the same trip, going the other way, in August. What
did you think of Gros Ventre? The girl that I spoke with yesterday at
the park said that it rarely fills up. Were the sites big enough for a
40 footer?

Hi Shane
Gros Ventre could be a little tight for a 40 footer I did see one in
the park. It is closest to Jackson Hole . You may want to check on
Colter Bay they have full hookups. It was close till the 23 of May,
and they make reservations .

Hi Shane,
We camped at Gros Ventre Last Fall, over 300 sites. Lots of space,
Many were short , We had to park Kitty Korner ( PA. slang) with our
35 footer. although there was a huge parking area and a bigger area
to stop for the day. We were late in the season and half of the camp
sites were closed. I would suggest calling direct to the ranger
station late May, when they are open. This park usually does not fill
as there are no hookups. This is a must stop over , we saw huge Moose
up close , ( very close) These are the number,
that I have 307-739-3300 & 800-628-9988.

Since my up close and personal location with I-90- 150 feet away, the temps have warmed up -80's traffic is really slow. Heck you can see a mama moose and her twins here in Livingston, no entry fee needed.

Bill,

Many thanks for the response! Looks like that is where we will be
during the first week of August. Can't wait to see my first moose. I
talked to one of the ranger-babes and she said that the park never
fills up. Hopefully the high fuel prices will make the crowds light.
