M house water pump works fine, but it is old so I am considering
replacing it just for piece of mind. Can anyone suggest a good
brand/model?

I ahve the same thought. Surflow 65Psi @ 5.7 GPM Variable speed. I haven't installed it. Just have it in the bay for a spare when needed.

Someone will chime in here...I believe Pete Masterson said that after installing the 65PSI pump...something about having to open a faucet to lower the pressure for the air toilet to work.

I've got one of those, too. Both of my dual water pumps were leaking and in need of a rebuild. Considering the labor and cost, it was easier to just replace the two of them with the variable speed pump. It also eliminates the need for the expansion tank.
The Microphor toilet is a little sensitive to the water pressure and it does not flush properly when the pressure exceeds 50 psi. I find that briefly opening the sink faucet then flipping the toilet handle before the pump kicks in is a reasonable work around. One of these days I'll install a pressure reducer on the line feeding the Microphor.
However, keep in mind that the 65 psi _is_ a bit higher than the 45 psi or so that is the typical current maximum. Be sure your plumbing is up to the load.

I do not have an air toilet, so that is not an issue for me

House Water Pump
One thing to keep in mind about a variable speed water pump is that at
very low flow rates it is nearly silent. On a couple of occasions in
my coach the shower was not fully shut off when I was dry camping. I
was alerted to the leak by the sound of the pump cycling.

While in Quartzite this winter I replaced one of my two 3.5 gpm
Sureflow water pumps with a 2.8 gpm Sureflow. The Sureflow rep at the
Quartzite RV show told me I would get more flow out of the 2.8 gpm
pump. I though ?????? He said the 3.5 gpm pump will pump more water
in an open circuit condition. I tried his recommendation. I was
surprised that the water flow with the 2.8 gpm pump was somewhat
greater than 3.5 gpm pump as measured at my shower head. As an added
bonus the 2.8 gpm was decidedly quieter than the 3.5 gpm pump, thanks
to the all rubber mount on the 2.8.

Be aware that if you change pumps you may have some mounting
modification to accommodate the different pump. It took me the better
part of a day to get the pump mount out of my coach so I could drill
two additional holes in the mount.

Good luck in your search.

I replaced my pump with the Surflow 5.7 a year ago.
At full pump pressure, it will about take your skin off. Works great at
all speeds. Quieter too.
Also just bought that new shower head from camping world that costs 40
bucks. Doesn't clog up. Lifetime (as long as the co. is in business)
warrenty and uses air introduced thru the head. Uses less water also.

Hi Bob,

Hope the work camping is going well for you two. What is the
brand/model of the shower head you bought? Up here in Mt, we are still
in the dark ages. No Camping World to be had.
