"Fan" belt for DD Series 60
I don't advocate taking a WL down Highway 1 -- and it's actually illegal in some of the most rigorous stretches where no bus or RV over 40' is allowed (and anything much over 30' is not wise).
However, if you take Hwy 101 south from the Bay Area, you can drop over to the coast on State Route 46, then north a short way to Hearst Castle. (I stayed at San Simeon State Park -- the "unimproved" section at the top of the hill can handle 40+' rigs -- but there's no hookups, so plan accordingly.) There's also a city/county owned park (Cuesta Park) just north of SLO with some hookups. Finding spots in the summer can be difficult. Cuesta Park is first come first served but they take group reservations. San Simeon park takes reservations in the summer. (Visit the CA State Park website for details.)
I've also stayed in Morro Bay at the Morro Dunes RV park. Short walk to the beach. 30 amp at most sites, but AC isn't usually required except for a few hours in the afternoon -- and one AC will usually easily handle the load. Again reservations are a good idea. You could stay there to visit Hearst Castle. (Ph for Morro Dunes is 805-772-2722). Morro Strand RV Park is just around the corner (longer walk to the beach) but it is more parking-lot-like (but Morro Dunes is also pretty tight). (Note: I always tell 'em that my rig is 40' as the 42' scares 'em...) Beach-area locations aren't particularly good for growing big trees and lawns, so don't expect "park-like" settings.
When you leave, take Hwy 1 south to San Luis Obispo and get back on 101. This avoids the Cuesta Grade just north of San Luis Obispo on 101. (Although it's not all that bad.) Highway 101 from Hearst Castle south to SLO is a very good 2 lane with 4 lanes in places along with short stretches of freeway. Not at all curvy.
South of San Luis Obispo, 101 runs (mostly) along the coast. (Highway 1 parallels some of 101 right along the beachfront below Santa Barbara).

Thank you, I am not going down Hwy 1 with this beast we drove hwy 1 three years ago with a Lincoln Navigator it drive like a boat, it was quite an experience to drive on a road with 3000 foot drop with no grad rails. I suspect the BB would react like the Lincoln boat feel.
