Presenting the 2009 Wanderlodge Bird of the Week

Presenting the 2009 Wanderlodge Bird of the Week
This week's Bird of the Week is appropriately enough, the 2009
Wanderlodge, courtesy of Macy and the factory - in more ways than one!
We should all be very grateful that this company-owned family stepped
up to save the brand. Seems fitting that a family owned company came
in to save what the Luce family started. Let's all root for them to
bring it back to its days of glory under the original family.

Larger photos of the pictures in this week's Bird of the Week collage
can be found in the Photos section of the forum in an albumn entitled
"2009 Wanderlodge" (tricky name, huh?). Remember, while you are in
the Photos section, that you also can see previous Bird of the Week
pictures in the "Bird of the Week Archives" photo albumn.

Macy reminds me that this Bird is at Holland Motorhomes and is
available to be driven away by its new owners, whoever you may be!
Dave Brady, Tommy "Twoshoes", Ross MacKillop, this could be your next
one.....

We received several submissions in response to my recent request for
new pictures, and let me tell you, we have some great Bird of the Week
pictures coming up in the next few weeks. However, do not let that
stop you from submitting your baby for a future spot as Bird of the
Week. Remember to add year, model, Bird name, where the shot was
taken and anything else noteworthy about the Bird, the owners or the
photo.

Thanks to everyone for helping make Bird of the Week and this forum a
great gathering place!

Yes, I think it is top quality. Wish I could write a check for it.

Presenting the 2009 Wanderlodge Bird of the Week
Thank you Mike for putting the new Bird up. I had Charolette in looking
over the photos and from those this is her take on the 2009. "Not
impressed" 1. Kitchen cabinets too dark, 2. Sofa look un comfy and frumpy
3. Not going for the sink in the bath nor the mirrors on the bath ceiling.
4. Exterior colors still look like a Monaco She did like the booth table
bracket under the table though. this was from my wifes point of view and I
must admit I agree.

Of course I could never afford one and perhaps that is a good thing. I
admit the Bird is nice looking for what it is but where is the "spark" the
"splash" of colors, the "get it" attitude the industry leader has been
known for since the 60's? Coach Works is doing a decent job but it is all
"off the shelf" stuff that everyone else is using. Bluebird used to "OWN"
that shelf and everyone else was wondering where did they get that?

I am not knocking BB just merely wondering where the zip is. Brings back
something I overheard someone say once when looking at a Bird for the first
time; "Well who woulda thunk it?" And they were just looking at the cubby
hole the toaster used to slide on in. Go figure huh?

Safe travels,
