Hurricane Ike
Thanks Ken. You know that's exactly why this forum exists - to help
other BB owners.

Right now, it is pretty obvious that you do not want to be in the
coastal areas near Houston (give or take 100 miles either way!):
"The National Weather Service warned coastal communities that the
storm tide would cause "certain death" for those in single-family one-
or two-story homes who do not heed evacuation orders." That's pretty
blunt, but it's already flooding in Galveston and Ike's still 200
miles away!

We still have a parking spot in Boerne. Here in the San Antonio area,
we appear to have dodged a big one as Ike moved a little east. We are
only forecast for about 2 inches of rain and some 30-40mph coastal
breezes.

Robbie & Andre Skains are in Kerrville at Buckhorn. Haven't heard
from other Houston area members, like the Kays, Easthams, etc. We
also have members further out in the path or on the outer edges. Hope
all are already safe somewhere - or on the way to somewhere safe.

Gregory of course you can come park, but I must warn you, Louisiana
folks think that California sunshine in imported can't be healthy for
for you and it does not encourage the "Blues". You have to have wet,
hot muggy and uncomfortable weather with an hurricane every now and
then to built character, and we a have a lot of that.

The winds were so high today no RV.s were allowed on the bridges and
we are all bridges so staying home was the schedule.
