Hershey Bluebird Rally
Between October 8th and 13th, we're having a rally in Hershey that
coincides with the Antique Auto Fall Meet
[http://www.aaca.org/meets/brochures/2008...lMeet.pdf] I've obtained
permission for us to use the Hershey Chevrolet lot for the whole week.
The dealership was closed last year, but the lot is empty, level,
paved and partially shaded. There is fresh water there and we can dump
at the Hershey Campground for $10 when we leave or there is a Flying J
at Carlisle for those of you departing on I-81. I'm assuming that most
of our attendees will be coming in on Wed, Thurs or Friday and staying
until Sunday or Monday. We should be able to park in a big circle with
genny exhausts facing outward from the group.

I've made arrangements for a professional detailing service to do
wheels on Saturday and Sunday and need to get a count of the coach
owners who are interested in his service. Charges will range from $20
to $35 per wheel based on whether he needs to remove it and how pitted
the aluminum is. Please let me know in the next few weeks if you're
interested in getting this done. They can also wax/buff coaches.

There are a number of things to do at and around the Car Show on all
days. There's also a steam tractor show in Lancaster County that is
pretty spectacular if you never witnessed the "Amish in action". Our
rally will be pretty loose, but I was planning to have a pot luck
dinner on Saturday night with Brisket and Ribs at the rally site.
We'll be in town, so there are several great restaurants within
walking distance or a short drive. My wife, Kelly, was planning to
have a "spa day" on Sunday for the ladies at the Hotel Hershey. We'll
take a group down to the Steam Tractor expo on Sunday afternoon and
meet up with the girls for dinner somewhere in Lancaster county.

Please let me know if you can attend. My email address is
[shane@...] We have parking for around 20
coaches comfortably. There are 8 reservations so far. The rally is
free and there's plenty to do in Hershey, even if you're not into cars
or old steam tractors.
