Tim,I have a couple items I need to ask you about. First, I need to
upgrade my overhead TV in a 1997 43' Wanderlodge. Would like to
install at least a 26" flat panel tv or larger. Will likely require
cabinet rework. Bill Kirschner had a similar TV upgrade and I believe
he said you did the work. He was really pleased. Unfortunatly I
didn't get to see his new installation. Are you able to provide this
upgrade? Could you email photos of one of these upgrades?

Also, do you repair Aquahot systems? Mine just stopped overnight and
had been working perfectly. No white smoke prior to failure. Now it
won't ignite. Diesel drips from the Aquahot exhaust while attempting
to ignite and it doesn't quit trying to ignite unless I turn off the
system at the dash button. I had diesel over a large section of the
pad. This unit was serviced at Blue Bird in Fort Valley this past
February.

Do you do repairs at Suncoast or at your own facility away from
Suncoast36?

I'm thinking through the same front TV situation on my 97. I too,
would be interested in seeing pics of the job you did and I'd like an
approx. cost and how much time?

If your setup, wood cabinet, plexiglass cover, is the same as mine, it
is an easy swap to go to a 26" LCD flat-scrreen. First I removed the old
20" TV and the internal wood frame around it. Then removed the wood
strips with the velcro for the plexiglass attached to the sides of the
front opening. On my setup I had to remove a plywood piece inside the
"hole" to achieve enough width inside the cabinet. I choose a 26" LCD
with the speakers on the bottom to reduce the overall width and had an
angled steel "foot" bracket made for $20.00. By angling the TV I could
slide it into the opening which turned out to be within 1/32" of the
screen size. Velcro strips on the sides of the front of the TV stick to
matching velcro on the inside of the cabinet then the bracket was
screwed to the bottom of the cabinet. The plexiglass was replaced using
1/4" strips on the sides and 3/4" top and bottom. Overall appearance
with the TV turned off is exactly as before the swap. Finally I removed
the box by the windshield where the rear of the old TV protruded and
replaced it with a flat plate. This was an easy job with the setup I
had and it reduced the weight by at least 30-40 pounds.

One note: The TV I bought did not have a variable speaker output to
connect with the Wanderlodge dash amplifier so I tapped into the
speakers and used an impedence matcher (car audio store) to connect it
to the existing connection so the remote control will still control the
volume when run through the stereo.
