Aqua hot instrument panel switch
My instrument panel switch goes dead (light goes out and the diesel
does not run) after leaving it on for a couple of days. I usually rest
set it and the diesel starts and runs for a couple of day then the
switch goes dead again and must be reset. My question, is the switch
bad or is there something else going on in the system? Any advise is
welcomed.

That indication to me is that your control module is going bad,I had the same symptoms and eventually had to replace it.
If you can get a hold of another one to borrow from another system, you can be certain then.

Hope you are having fun at the Q.Side Raley.
Thank you for the input I am going to call Aqua Hot on Monday to
order one and also the panel switch. I talked to Paul Lazar he had
similar problem to mine, had the switch and the control module
replaced toke care of the problem.

When I am parked, and plugged, I use the AquaHot on electric. We have always had plenty of hotwater.

The temp has been cold in Central FL so when I have the heat on
through the coach the electric cannot keep up so I have to start the
diesel burner the augment the electric.

If the AquaHot fails to start, it will turn off the light and the diesel won't run. Discuss this with your AquaHot technician. If the switch is bad, the AquaHot won't cycle on at all.

I once had a similar problem. The problem turned out to be the
ignitor electrode had vibrated loose and sometimes the burner would
not ignight. When this happens the system shuts down and has to be
reset.

I had a problem last year but I corrected it by taking apart the
controller cleaned the contacts and reassembled, the system worked find
till now. We had a few day of temps in the upper 20's and low 30's in
Centrol Florida. The electric protion of the Aqua Hot will not keep up
with the heat demand, the diesel must add support to the system. I am
going to take the box apart and see if the electrode woked them self
loloose.
Again Thanks all for the input.

Hi Hisham,
Many Foretravels are equipped with the Aqua-Hot systems. And many of us use a factory approved/authorized repairman named Roger Burke. Roger also runs the hydronic heat forum on yahoo groups, just like this group. He is quite knowledgeable with the systems. And he does excellent work, at the most reasonable of prices. The maker of the Aqua-Hot uses Roger to do repairs for themat many of the bigger conventions. He is roaming the south east now, in preparation for the FMCA Perry show. He has any parts you could need with him. Since he is down your way now, you may want to contact him. Try "roger.burke@gmail.com" or "AquaHot.Roger@gmail.com"
You can also go to the hydronic heat group, on-line, thru the yahoo groups.
Hope this helps,
