Tommy,
Thanks for the reply, this is the first time i have found a woking wifi. Reference my reply to Wallace Craig.

What are you calling the wash station. You mean the washing machine/dryer?

Ron:

On my 94 WB, there is a valve, identical to the one on the top of an LP Gas Tank in the wash station compartment street side. Turn in the direction of the arrow pointing to close and in the direction pointing to open. This is the master cut off valve and has nothing to do with the switches inside.

It took me forever to find mine when it was right there all along. I would imagine yours is alomost like mine if not the same.

Best wishes

Al,
Evidently the fact tht you have an LX does make a big difference. I don't have a switch in either fuel door. But I do have a fill valve on both sides for what reason I have no idea. I guess it is a convenience they put there so you would have access no matter how you pulled up to the gas supply.

Thanks Al, I really apprecite your response.

MY switch is in the same door as the LPfill. It is a simple on off switch that it by the way mine is a LX if in fact that makes a difference.

Thanks Al I Have a 1995 wide body which must be different than your LXI.
The fuel door on the Road side has a diesel inlet and a fuel inlet for the LPGas but no shut off valve .

I read in the Owners manual words saying to be sure to shut off the Main shut off valve but no mention of where it is located.

There is a Gas detection control down on the floor level just to the right of the refrigerator. When I turn it on and the LPG Master control switch is turned on it begins chirping. but I can't detect a leak anywhere. Can's smell any gas and had three people check it too. The Alarm Switch when turned on buzzes regardless of where the LPG Master Control Switch is set.

I think your LXI is probably different than my 1995 Coach.

I have never used the LPG gas since I have had this coach and I have an absolutely stupid question. Where the heck is the main LPG Shut off Valve on a 1995 WLWB 42?

Does the Master LPG Switch that is located in the counter right in front of the sink the only switch that controls the gas supply on and off. When I turn the Alarm switch on it buzzes. There is no gas leak that I can detect anywhere so it must be buzzing because the gas supply is turned off.

Oh, the refrigerator is running when the Inverter is on and also when the generator is on or the shore line is hooked up. It is just the Lpg mode on the frig that does not work. When You set it to lpg operation it waits about 45 seconds then the check light comes on. The LPG level indicator shows almost full of gas. The only thing I can think of is that the main shut off valve is off.

Appreciate any help from someone who is
familiar with this coach.

John, thanks for your reply. I have been on the road since Monday and today, Wed. arrived in Las Crucas , NM and this is the first WIFI I have encountered that is working.

I have looked in both my fuel fill doors and find a fill valve in both of them along with diesel fuel receivers also, but no switch unless it is concealed somehow.

MY refrigertor is located right in the center of the coach sitting at at angle. just to the right of the bathroom door and at the left end of the galley counter top. The only access I can see is to take the refrigertor out of the enclosure unless there is some other way that I don't see. Man that looks like a job too.

Several people have responded with suggestions which I will look into and will report back to the forum with my answer and results. Thanks again.

Ron,

I haven't had mine as long as Pete has, so he'll have more detailed info. But at the LPG fill door is a simple switch to turn the LPG on and off. As I recall, mine is "backwards", meaning it needs to be flipped down to be on and flipped up to be off. Then the inside switch there below the sink needs to be on and the LPG detector needs to be on. Then you should have gas. I check by turning the stovetop on to see that it lights and burns. Then you should be able to have the fridge on gas. That being said, if rust has formed inside the burner exhaust, it will flake off and block the flame sensor from operating. Mine did this this past weekend. Open the door outside the back of the fridge (assuming your fridge is flat against an outer wall) remove the cover over the burner (it should be a flat plate with 2 phillips screws at the bottom). There's then a small cover that just sits on top of the burner assembly, held in place by the panel you just
removed. Pull it off and clean the rust flakes out of the way. I vacuumed mine out. Put it all back together and see what happens. That fixed mine the first time, but now something else has occurred so it won't stay lit anyway! Something else to do in my "spare time"!

Hope this helps.

John

Ron,

Open the driver side fuel door and look between the diesel fill pipe and the
propane fill pipe (move the chain to the diesel cap aside). There is a toggle
switch that acts as the outside propane shutofff. Flip it up and also turn the
master on inside the coach and you will get gas.

Ron: What I call the "wash station" on my bird is a small stainless steel lined
compartment, just aft of the street side front bay door. There is a soap
dispenser, paper towel holder, pump switch and sink. Its where I wash my hands
before Martha will let be back in. Also good for giving Mr. J.B. Dogg a bowl of
cold water. I have seen these in various configurations on other birds some of
which are built into the dump control compartment.

I figured your coach had one like mine since you are only a year later model.

At the very top is a left and right turning valve handle. The handle is mounted
to a steel bar that extends through a plastic with felt covered conduit from the
back of the wash station into a closed area that houses the propane tank.
Typical of BB engineering, there was no lable on the valve, just an arrow
pointing (I think)left that is labled "close" and to the right labled "open". I
couldn't get my stove top to light and I thought something was wrong, because I
had a full tank of propane. Finally called Jesse at BB and he laughed and said
that was the master valve for the propane tank.

All the best!

Tommy.
Nope, no wash station like that on my rig. The closest thing like that on my rig is a kitchen sink type faucet with a spray nozzle, but no sink, There is a soap dispenser though. Also in that same bay which is on the road side by the way, are the Grey water drain and the Black water drains and the control panel with a switch to start the water pump and a switch to fill the pure water tanks and there are the grey and black water control swithces to pressure open the gate valves to let the waste water out. Probably missed something in my description but the point is that there was no valve to control the LPG gas. I am still looking for it.

Its been nothing but one problem after another on this trip. Today we stopped in Las Crucas at the Hacienda RV park and behold there is not a blade of grass in this place.
Ground up rock covers everything. Anyway I spent the afternoonb having to look up a place to purchase a new flexible dump line since mine was a tad short. Don't know why some places have to have their dump pipes so far away from the electrical and water supplies. Must be some kind of health code or something.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Hope it goes better than these last 3 days ;have been.,

Tom,
By Jingo, you are right, it was there all the time hiding under that chain. However, it was already in the up position and my Master switch was on and still no gas. It must be the solenoid that controls the valve then. I am assuming that the switch controls a solenoid.

Don't suppose that you know where that solenoid is located? It is probably shown on one of these drawings on the bus but won't tell me where it is located. Thanks for sticking to me until my thick brain could figure out where to look. LOL. That much is solved now.

I swithched the switch to the down position just in case they wired it wrong or turned it the wrong way. That didn't work either.

Thanks again.

Ron:

This is a stupid question to ask, but do you have an owner's manual for your 95
PT42 WB?

If you don't, I have pages 16-1 through 16-5 which covers your LPG system.

I'll send them to you if you like.

If you still have the chirping, take the unit apart and blow some air in there. You might have some dust that has accumulated there.

Ron: What I call the "wash station" on my bird is a small stainless steel lined compartment, just aft of the street side front bay door. There is a soap dispenser, paper towel holder, pump switch and sink. Its where I wash my hands before Martha will let be back in. Also good for giving Mr. J.B. Dogg a bowl of cold water. I have seen these in various configurations on other birds some of which are built into the dump control compartment.

I figured your coach had one like mine since you are only a year later model.

At the very top is a left and right turning valve handle. The handle is mounted to a steel bar that extends through a plastic with felt covered conduit from the back of the wash station into a closed area that houses the propane tank. Typical of BB engineering, there was no lable on the valve, just an arrow pointing (I think)left that is labled "close" and to the right labled "open". I couldn't get my stove top to light and I
thought something was wrong, because I had a full tank of propane. Finally called Jesse at BB and he laughed and said that was the master valve for the propane tank.

All the best!

Tommy

Tommy,

Yes I do have an Owners Manual, section 16. However, it does not tell you the location of anything. I have gone over that section over and over. Thanks for the offer of the pages, but I do have them. Oh, and its not a stupid question at all. I probably look as stupid as I feel about this. LOL. I have had a life long career as an electronic technician working on all kinds of complicated systems. I have even written technical procedures and short manuals. But BB does a good job of putting it together but leaves out things like where things are and never uses photographs to aid in locating things.

However this forum does have people who have already been through most if not all of the problems that could possibly exist on these coaches. Thanks to you guys.
