Ernie, I saw on another post that your up in the Mammoth Lakes area not sure
what your travel plans are but just north of you on 395 is the June Lake loop.
It's a beautiful area and a must see if you have a little time.

The "Devils Post Pile" is right along 395, east side, near there. Looks like a lot of railroad ties stacked verticle end-to-end.

Ernie; Curt is right. Devils Postpile is impressive...Much like "The Devils
Causway" in Ireland.. Basalt rock that has split when cooling....!/2 mile hike
at bottom of the canyon parking lot..
While in Mammoth, or Bishop, stop by Schats Bakery..YUM. But stay too long and
you wont fit thru the door of your Bird when you get home... :-)
