Arrived at South Padre Island on Saturday, the day after Dean and Pat Harden had
to leave. Bird ran great on an easy run. Bob and Carol Howald arrived on
Sunday. More Birds are due on the 26th, 27th and 30th, (McMahan, Gureasko,
Marabito and Craig) and those are just the the ones I know of that are coming
down. The campground referred to it as the Lone Star Birds area of the park
when we checked in! Weather is beautiful so far. I resisted turning on the AC
today and just opened windows and ran the exhaust fans for cooling. We have
made the obligatory pilgrimages to Dirty Al's for shrimp and fish baskets and
Louie's Backyard for the $1 margaritas on Monday and Tuesday. Life is
good...... for two weeks anyway!

Mike,
Chet and Christine will arrive on 28th and leave on the 4th. Will be bringing some friends with a S.O.B. and staying in Section "A" of Isla Blanca park (that's right behind Dirty Al's), Lee and Katherine Davis, with their BMC will be in section "C" of the park. We also have another couple that are coming down and staying a week at the Sheraton.

The best thing about this snow is that it isn't sticking to roads; yet. Surely will do so later today, but then it is forecast to stop by late afternoon. Bridges will be the real issue in most places. We have 2" on ground here NW of Azle. Am expecting to get out of here on Monday to make our 30th reservation.

Would this be a good time to mention how warm it is here right now?
Especially after the hot sauce on the late breakfast tortillas at Manuel's earlier today.
Whew! LOL!
