The primary should be a 10 to 20 micron and the spin on secondary is a 2 micron.

I use that same 3120 spin on, but the Racor on the 8V on my 91 uses a Napa 3212. The 6V in my 83 used a Napa 3209 Racor. Both of those are listed in the Racor Cross Reference chart that Ralph put in the forum files under the Wix column as 33209 and 33212 (Wix part numbers are 33xxx and Napa uses 3xxx). There are several optional filters so you will have to cross reference yours.

The cross reference is at is at http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/AFI1S5bI_1W...ERENCE.pdf

You'll have to cut and paste that URL into your browser.

Nope. Just saying my 83 and my 91 do not use the same racor filters as you listed. Although, I did not see a Wix version of that filter you are using on the cross reference file, so I looked on the NAPA site. It shows the 3799 as being 4.6" tall. That seems like a small racor filter for the main engine. It sounds more like the small racor filter that was on the genset on my 83. My drive engine racor filters are around twice that height.

My point was that there are numerous racor units available and each one needs to make sure they have the right filters for their unit. I think that is why Ralph posted the Racor cross reference guide.

The 3799 was the one that has been used on my Racor since I bought it. The racor for the generator is really small and that filter maybe 2 inches tall. I guess the main point is to change these when they start getting into the yellow. I waited till I got back from Az and it was in the red. oops
