Bird's and Ice storm
Hello everyone from our Bird Nest in the back yard. Charolette and I are so
grateful we have Ruff Diamond this evening.
An ice storm hit us with a vengeance and lost of power, therefore heat, led us
to the Coach and warmth. Then of course the city water was shut down to compound
it all.
We are warm, snug and gen set is running keeping us that way.
The power here will be off several hours, so only the Blackberry as there is no
computer or wifi.
Yes, we count our blessings for the Bird and the many friends this venue has
brought us.
Safe travels, Ralph &

Ralph,

Looks like your snow's about over. Hope the power's back on. We call it "Stock Show weather" here in DFW.

Thank you Brad. Actually we have not seen any snow thus far. There is about 1/2 inch of ice around the tree branches and limbs. Trees have split in 2 with the weight. Power is still off with no idea when it will be restored so we are snuggled in with Ruff Diamond. We are much more fortunate than many neighbors because of the Bird.
One neighbor just came by wanting the broken tree branches in our yard, to burn in their fire place.
Thank you for the up date as we don't have local tv for weather or emergency up dates on the weather and power here.

Ralph,

Looks like a little more fzg drizzle or flurries through noon today.

Power crews from as far away as Houston are on their way up there now.

Best of luck.

Howdy, Ralph.
When we saw the weather report for your part of the Texas Annexation, we were concerned. I was going to phone you today but that won't do any good!! Glad to hear that you and Charolette and the dogs(how many, now?) are snug and sound in your coach.
Right now down here in Dhanis, we have 44 degrees and sun. I think that the temps are supposed to go down into the 30's tonight. I sure am glad we got our Webasto heater fixed!!!

Good to hear from you,
