I have an air leak in the valve, on top of the engine, that controls
the throttle. A few years back, I purchased a new one from or pals
Stewart and Stevenson. Paid over a hundred bucks for that. Ralph told
me that I can just get the O-ring. I presume that's all it needs. Does
anyone have a parts source for a 25 cent O-ring vs the whole valve?
This O-ring is a little different then the run of the mill ones. Might
even have to pay a dollar for it. Thanks, Ernie- spewing lots of air

Bet our friends at Interstate Detroit have one. They are open until
midnight tonight I think. Want to try them? If they have it, I can
drop by & get a couple for us. Bet I need a new one too or a spare.

Try to get one from an outfit that does hydraulics. They usually
have a good source of O-rings.

Find a hydraulic system shop,tractor cylinders and stuff like that, they should
have a nice selection of O-rings.

The suspension dump switches, below the ignition key leak a small
amount of air. Is there a way to seal where the 1/8th inch plastic line
goes into the switch or is a new switch needed. Elmer 86 PT 38

Elmer,
Are you referring to the Clippard "DC / pneumatic" switches; at least that
is what is in our '87 PT38. I had to replace them due to leaks and causing
issues with the suspension dumping. Click on this link to see a picture of
what is installed in our coach.

one with the yellow head. I can look up the part numbers if you like, or you
may find them on the switches.

Here is a link to the exact Electronic Valves that are used in our coach.
There are at least five of them.

The picture shows 24V, the description shows 12V. It's the correct part
number (ET-3M 12V) for our '87 PT38.

My coach had the same problem. Upon removing the switches, you could
see the tiny o rings were falling apart and pieces had stuck in the
exhaust hole. These are regular truck dump switches and are easy to
come by. Biggest problems was they are bigger than the old ones and had
to turn them in their location to make them fit..small price to pay.

Hi Guys
I found were the 1/4" copper tube went to & what was leaking. It is the
discharge for the ZF retarder leaver on the left side of the dash. Any one know
if it can be rebuilt or where to buy a new one?
