RE: Centramatics - ernie ekberg - 11-11-2013 20:11 While Bim and I were installing the AGMs today, I was under the coach adding some zip ties to the cables. I had a good light and was looking at the tag axle shock. The centramatics were doing their job- this little gem was not. RE: Centramatics - al perna - 11-11-2013 20:40 nice find Ernie, she sure gona ride smooth now RE: Centramatics - ernie ekberg - 11-11-2013 21:03 I have been searching for part numbers- no luck. I read a post from Paul in 07 that there are 2 versions to these shocks and that one wrong shock can damage the stud. RE: Centramatics - davidbrady - 11-11-2013 23:48 Ernie, You may have to take a measurement from upper shock stud to lower so that we can help identify a replacement shock. Do it at full droop and full jounce. I know Paul had issues with shock length and he tried to get BB to step up but they refused. RE: Centramatics - ernie ekberg - 11-13-2013 20:14 my tire store removed the tag and shock. It is a Monroe and the replacement is on its way from Iowa. the mounting head of shock had broken. This was done a while ago as there was rust on the break. I was lucky in that it missed the aqua hot lines RE: Centramatics - davidbrady - 11-13-2013 20:22 Ernie, When you get the shock maybe you can post a Monroe part number? RE: Centramatics - ernie ekberg - 11-15-2013 21:25 got shock today and had my local tire store mount it. 66886 is the number. so far so good. I tried to take the old one off but my old body over-ruled my mind. So for a total of 50 bucks, the tire guys removed tag, removed shock, mounted tag and then I came back today and they did the whole business again. best 50 bucks I have shelled out in a while. Tomorrow- Aqua Hot routine maintainence |
