Replacing LXi Drive Axle Lug-Centric Wheel Studs, WaGu Rally - davidbrady - 10-08-2013 20:07 Al Perna arrived at the 2013 Wanderlodge Gurus Asheville NC Rally with a few wheel studs missing on his drive axle. He ordered the studs and had them shipped to the campground. The part numbers are Webb 101172 for the right handers and 101173 for the left handers. Let the fun begin! [attachment=956] Missing wheel studs [attachment=959] John and Al removing the wheel [attachment=960] Greg Jesse and Corey supervising [attachment=961] Identifying a crack in the wheel [attachment=962] Al and David pounding out the old studs [attachment=963] Pulling in the new studs, all 10 of them [attachment=964] Al and John torquing down the inner cap nuts [attachment=965] Greg, Al, Corey, and John, torquing the outer cap nuts and each other! :-) [attachment=966] Job well done [attachment=967] The Cast: Corey, Greg, Chuck, Al, John, and David (taking the photo)! RE: Replacing LXi Drive Axle Lug-Centric Wheel Studs, WaGu Rally - al perna - 10-09-2013 19:36 thank you David for the fine Pics . One would think you were only the photographer . I owe many a beer and favor to the entire group . especially to David and John, for there take charge attitude toward this project . If not I would still be driving on 7 studs . as you can see from the Pics John did most of the work , Cory and I did just enough to get in a photo or 2 . Greg was our safety Mgr , Chuck handled procedure assistance along with wheel stud install . this was a true team effort . again I want to thank David for providing his expertise and dedication to Blue Bird Preservation, along with another Rally for us all to attend . It was also great to be in a campground where we could work on our coaches and not be hassled by the staff . they were very accommodating to us the entire Rally . I look forward to this Rally next year . thank you again for helping Erika & I drive away safe . RE: Replacing LXi Drive Axle Lug-Centric Wheel Studs, WaGu Rally - patticake - 10-09-2013 23:19 I have one question about that operation. How come everyone but one person, was wearing long sleeves or a jacket? I "assume" he left his at home? or he doesn't own one? or he is that hot blooded? RE: Replacing LXi Drive Axle Lug-Centric Wheel Studs, WaGu Rally - al perna - 10-09-2013 23:33 I don't know about the others Steve , but sitting around makes me cold RE: Replacing LXi Drive Axle Lug-Centric Wheel Studs, WaGu Rally - Arcticdude - 10-10-2013 00:11 (10-09-2013 23:19)patticake Wrote: I have one question about that operation. Up here in the hinterlands, we don't typically wear coats until we see consistent single digits! Anything above 40 or so is downright tropical! That explains the air conditioning built into the t-shirt! I have to say though, John is one energetic guy. I tried to wrestle that clammy wrench out of his grip but he wouldn't have any part of it! So, I was reduced to keeping time, "Six-O-Clock now Al, okay Ten-thirty, now Two-O-Clock Al, etc, etc"... [attachment=983] [attachment=984] |
