high idle - Mike McMahan - 10-03-2005 17:23 On my coaches with the high idle engaged the throttle pedal never did anything. When the high idle is turned off everything is normal. Mike high idle - erniecarpet@... - 10-03-2005 20:18 I recall, that when I was going down the freeway with the cruise on, I reached for my CB mike, which is located right beside high idle lever. Hit the lever and the cruise disengaged, thought the engine had died and pulled over- just in time to see what I did. Now, I keep the mike on the dash. If you have an air throttle, it does not move; If you have a cable throttle, it normally will move. The fast idle is applied at the governor throttle arms, therefore it does not affect the air throttle; the cable throttle, having a mechanical connection to the throttle pedal will move the pedal. Hope this helps. George Lowry '95 WBDA 4203 Spearfish, SD Currently in Northern California Mike McMahan wrote: > On my coaches with the high idle engaged the throttle pedal never did > anything.
