Kerry-- that site is another pay for play site. Thanks, but I don't pay to
get info. Any other options?

My injector pump is leaking on my genset from a fitting on the top .
Ralphs is too- no we are not twins. Anyone done a removal ? I read in
the manual for perkins that says you have to time that thing when you
put her back. that leaves me out of that picture, for sure. Ernie-

Ernie,

Call a diesel specialty shop, one that rebuilds diesel fuel
pumps/injectors. Ask them if they will remove, service, reinstall/time
the pump. Might be a good time to tune up the injectors too. That's what
I did. The guy had me park the bus behind his shop. He removed the pump
and injectors. I drove the bus home. A few days later he called and I
took the bus back. He rebuilt the pump and the injectors, and
reinstalled/timed the unit. Part of the timing is getting the RPMs set,
and that is done by watching the gen-set AC voltage gauge until the set
is putting out 120V. If you do this be sure the fuel lines get sealed up
or diesel fuel will get all over.

I paid $800.00, which included servicing the Racor, new spin on fuel
filter, injector seals/o-rings, etc. Not cheap, but was less than taking
the bus to a shop that would keep the bus while working on the Yanmar.

Good luck.

Here's a Perkins 108 forum. While it's devoted to boats, the engine's the same
so you may
find an answer to your question there.
