City water hook up 79 FC - dspithaler@... - 09-20-2006 11:49 Hi Guys Where is the check valve for the city water hook on a 79 FC 33' ? There is no pressure on the city side of the hook up. That switch could be in the wrong position. That's how it works on our '87. I think that some of the earlier models had separate connections for city water bypass and fill. In either case the city water bypass connection has to have a built-in/attached check valve to keep water from flowing out the connection. My water connection is at the rear driver's side. Since I have a rear bath it is in the compartment with the water heater. No switch that I know of. My 89 SP has the switch. Don, I'm not sure...I know nothing about a check valve...is there a tank fill switch near the shore hose hookup? Don Don, On the 78 I had, it had the 2 connections and no Sporlan valve anywhere on the whole coach. You may have other sporlan valves, but not one to direct water to fill the tank. Also both water connections should have a check valve either built in or right behind the water connection.
