Air Drier installation - Stephen H - 10-30-2006 11:23 My bird did not come with an air drier. I decided to install one and purchased a Meritor-Wabco air drier to install, due to the small size, weight, and easy spin-on cartridge. I figured at this same time, I would go ahead and replace the compressor D-2 Governor and compressor filter. The D-2 control port (cutout) is 1/8" NPT, The Air Drier Port 4 (control) is 1/4" - 18 NPTF. Here is my question. What type of hose/tubing would be suitabile for connection from my governor to my drier; and what recommended size? Where would I get this tubing? I can work out the connections with adapters, I understand that. Im just not sure about tubing. I would assume it would be a black plastic tubing. I have serched e-bay for tubing, but it is difficult when I dont know what type to serch for. NEXT- I will need to connect my drier to the wet tank. The connection on the drier says: Port 21 (delivery): 1/2" - 14 NPTF. I have seen the existing braided stainless line coming from the compressor going to wet tank now. Would just need a short peice to go from drier to wet tank; what about this line? Does it need to be stainless braided as well? What type/size? E-bay? It's easier for me to shop online, than to take time away from work to drive around and look for this stuff! Thanks all for your help!
