So if it is above zero this weekend, I have palns to extracate the
safe from Pokey and cut into the back so I can retrieve the millions
that are hidden in there, then I can retrofit that 500 H.P. Cat that
Pokey has been dreaming about. I took a quick look today and it looks
like I have to remove the dinette to get the safe out...is this the
case? If not, how do I get the rascal out. Doug Engel, Gunnison, Co.,

Doug- if your safe is like my other 2- it is bolted to the floor from inside
the safe. Good luck, Ernie-83pt40 in Tx

Gary Miller has a method, removing the dinette and hole-sawing a hole
in the safe. At that point you can remove the bolts (inside) to work
on it.
The plate must be removed from the back of the head/door (two screws),
then the combination can be found by turning slowly and watching the
plates with a mirror.
With the safe removed it is fairly cheap or easy to weld the hole
closed again.
