Step Solenoid Valve - jwasnewski - 04-19-2007 10:06

Does anyone have a schematic of the internal workings of the step
Solenoid valve. Also, it has two pins or needles which appear to be
adjustable. I have a small air leak at one of those pins. The solenoid
clicks with 120 psi air and the step does not move. Every switch makes
the solenoid click. Open the door and it clicks. The safety strip
makes the valve click. I'm wondering if the thing is stuck somehow. I
can see the valve on the drawings but nothing more. Thanks for any
info.

Thank you. I will get after it when I get it out of the shop.

I do not have a schematic of the step solenoid, however, I recently had
a problem with my step not fully opening and locking into place.

I was advised by another forum member to remove the air valves (spark
plug looking devices)on the bottom of the solenoid and clean them up.
This fixed the problem. Seems some 'crud' was clogging up the valves.
The adjustments on the two valves increases or decreased the speed of
opening and closing.
